Brad Leftwich & The Hogwire String Band w/ Skillet Gap

Hogwire String Band

The Hogwire Stringband presents an exciting and sophisticated brand of American roots music, blending rich vocal harmonies with superb fiddle-driven melodies backed by a dynamic rhythm section. Brad Leftwich anchors this new band on fiddle and vocals, with long-time musical partner Linda Higginbotham on banjo and banjo uke, Sam Bartlett adding powerful rhythmic support on guitar, banjo, and mandolin, and Abby Ladin completing the sound on stand-up bass and vocals. The band is based in Bloomington, Indiana, deep in the heartland of the U.S.A.

Hailing from all over North Carolina, Skillet Gap carries on the torch of old-time here at Appalachian State. Their crooked tunes, energy, and connection drive their performances. The melody section of the band is comprised of Quinlin Riggs on fiddle and Ben Banick on banjo. Holding down the rhythm section is Zach Smith on bass and the baby of the band Dayne Shelor on guitar.

Holy Ghost Tent Revival

Holy Ghost Tent Revival

Holy Ghost Tent Revival's exhilarating live show has uplifted audiences since the band formed in 2007. For the past eight years, they have been honing their unique sound, which NPR describes as that of a "soul-rock horn band that recalls 60s and 70s classic-rock influences such as The Band and The Flying Burrito Brothers, contemporary indie-rock acts like Dr. Dog, and New Orleans brass-band jazz."  The band has turned what many hail as a deeply personal and evocative group of recordings into a thrilling live performance, the merits of which have led them to share stages with the likes of Dr. Dog, Shovels and Rope, Langhorne Slim & The Law, Pokey LaFarge, Robert Randolph & the Family Band and Lake Street Dive. Holy Ghost Tent Revival's magnetism will continue to grow and mature in the hearts of listeners across the country, from radio dial to lit pavilion.

Boone's own Arson Daily is taking the stage once again at Legends. Arson Daily is a mix of blues, rock, and funk that always proves to be a good time! As deliberate as they are spontaneous, Arson Daily delivers a sound reminiscent of brit-born blues and funky Saturday night soul. Drawing the spirit of in-your-face alternative rock acts such as Cage the Elephant and Kings of Leon, Arson Daily’s rowdy sound is packed full of rock inspired guitar riffs and energetic groves that ignite a flame beneath the feet of their crowds. -www.reverbnation.com
